Aura Karkom

The community of Karkom, situated in the Mevo’ot HaHermon Regional Council, and located along the Jordan Road overlooking the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee, is expanding its gates with the addition of 99 new plots.

Aura is proud to be a pioneer in the rural sector, collaborating with the Mevo’ot HaHermon Regional Council and taking part in the expansion of the community, situated in one of the most beautiful natural gems in Israel with a breathtaking view of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights.

Karkom was founded in 1986 by the Jewish Agency as a communal settlement promoting cooperative living through the establishment of a cooperative association. Karkom is located on Route 8277 near the Amiad Junction heading towards the Golan Heights.

Situated just a 20-minute drive from Tiberias, Katsrin, Rosh Pina, and Hazor, and a 30-minute drive from Carmiel, Karkom is home to approximately 150 families and around 650 residents.

Preserving the community’s uniqueness, Karkom remains a communal and Zionist settlement rooted in values of mutual assistance, support, love for nature, tolerance, and caring.
